I needed my design done yesterday. Can you get it done today?
Short answer: probably not. If we produced mediocre or substandard designs, we'd be available at a moment’s notice and would produce a mediocre or substandard design for you today. But that isn’t how we work. As with anything creative, it is a process. Although we’re very good at juggling multiple projects, there are only so many we can comfortably accept at one time without neglecting our other commitments. But don’t let that stop you from contacting us. We have been known to pull a rabbit out of our magic hat at times. Send us your information, and we’ll give you our best turnaround time possible.
What happens if I want to change my tagline sometime in the future?
If you grow sick of your tagline, and we incorporated it into you logo file, not to worry. We often will create a version of your logo with your tagline and one without. Sometimes a logo with no tagline suits particular marketing pieces better than one with. Our clients appreciate having the option. If you have to change your tagline, just get in touch with us. It’s not difficult to do – we will fit it in our schedule for you and send you your new logo files with your spanky new tagline.
Just remember that you’ll have to update all of your branded materials with that new logo with tagline – your business cards, website, stationery, etc.
My phone number (or fax, title, address) has changed or I want to add/subtract services on the back of my business card. Can I contact you to make these changes and get my business cards reprinted?
Absolutely. If we designed your business cards, we have it on file and can make edits easily. If we didn’t design your business cards and you have the source file, again, we can make edits pretty easily, send you a proof, and even order you a new set of cards. If you don’t have your source file and we need to recreate or redesign your card, it is still not a problem, but our Signature Business Card rate will apply.
We’re also smart enough to make changes on your website and other materials for you.
How long do you keep my logo or other custom designed files?
We will keep your files pretty much forever barring any major catastrophes. We do have multiple backup systems in place just for that purpose. But we always provide you with the source file just in case.
I’m very anxious to see my website, why do I have to approve a draft that doesn’t have any of my content in it?
Patience, grasshopper! We have been around the block more than once, and we’ve nailed a system that works. When we design your site, we need your approval before converting it to HTML. We wait until it is converted to HTML before adding your content because if we go through the process, add all of your content and you don’t care for the design, it will be hours of work to start completely over. Bottom line is, we know what we’re doing. You have to trust us and go with the flow.
What happens if I’ve told people about my new site being ready at a certain time and something happens that it isn’t ready by then? It will look awful if someone types in my URL and gets nothing.
Firstly, we create a temporary “Coming Soon” landing page that includes your logo and contact information. Second, Signature Worx does everything in our power to make the deadline that we all have agreed upon, but honestly, it doesn’t happen every time due to many variables. One of the biggest reasons we don’t make the deadline is due to lack of communication by the client, such as not providing the content on time, not providing feedback or answering questions we have in a timely manner, etc. Creating a website is a two-way street and your participation is necessary.
You provided me with a ton of different logo formats, but I don’t know what to do with them all. Isn’t one logo enough?
Our logos are created in different formats that allow you to have the right format for all the different uses you will encounter throughout your business lifetime. When we design a logo we treat it with love, and would hate to see our designs used for the wrong things. The same logo file that looks awesome on your website will be different than the format you would use in a Microsoft document. This is because each one has different resolutions depending on the file type. The following is a little cheat sheet for your future reference.
